This is Ben Howard. |
I am Senor Musica and for some strange reason this is my first post. Now from my name I know it is hard to tell that I will be reviewing music.
Today's topic will be the pure musical talent of Ben Howard.
This 24 year old song writer has taken the UK by storm recently and its not surprising. His distinctive voice and meaningful lyrics make the perfect 'chill out' songs.
I have known about Ben for a long time and it really delights me that after a year of hard work and quality music he has became a well known name in the UK. He has mustered up over 8million views on his VEVO YouTube channel and has delighted Radio 1 listeners with his superb covers and outstanding live voice. His cover of Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen is an absolute delight and i strongly recommend you listening to it as in my opinion is far better than the original.
His album 'Every Kingdom' is superb. He goes from the up tempo, stamp your feet catchy songs. To the slow, meaningful songs that are all a delight to listen to. For example 'The Wolves' is a really good upbeat song to get you singing along and nodding your head, while the song 'Old Pine' is essentially a break up song and has more of a slow, chilled vibe to it.
I have listened to his music for his good year and I am yet to find a bad song. He has a soulfulness in his voice that calms me down and his talent for song writing never lets the song get old.
I strongly recommend downloading his album 'Every Kingdom' the highlights of this album being 'Only Love' 'Old Pine' 'The Wolves' and 'The Fear'.
