Top 10 Action Games Part 2 (2012)

In my years of being alive I have played thousands if not millions (!) of games but after the many hours of gaming you end up realising what makes a good one. It's not just about fancy graphics and other do da but the ability of making you fall in love with it, so here is my list of Top 10 Action Games!

5. Star Wars: Battlefront 2
I admit, I am a Star Wars fan boy having spent my childhood participating in lightsaber battles with friends and watching the movies many times. Singleplayer was cracking but baby the multiplayer was out of this world, pardon the pun. That is what ultimately got this game into my top 5 choices because it gave me such enjoyment becoming a Sith or Jedi and crushing the rebellious forces!

4. Mafia (I)
I first played this at a family members house and was mesmerised by the realism. Now days it's not that great but when it was released it was ahead of it's time with the driving, shooting and best of all (what I hope GTA would do) the traffic cops.
Because of that I spent ages just driving around keeping to the speed limit, then waited for a police officer to come close... Where I would break the speed limit like the utter maniac I am! Being chased from one side to the other, drifting the corners like a king eventually brutally murdering the cops. Slightly psychotic I know but it was still great fun.

3. Assassin's Creed
What a game. People say the first one was not very good but it actually was amazing, for the time it was released. So amazing I completed it multiple times! Not only was the first one good but it gets better year on year with number III coming out soon, a release I cannot wait to get my hands on.
It's the mechanics that got this to number 3, with it's never before mastered 'free running' allowing the player to leap across rooftops with fluidity and the assassinations just put the cherry on the cake.

2. Splinter Cell
The reason I have chosen Splinter Cell is because it was the one of the first games I owned of PC and it was just so good! I would spend ages of my time sitting there being Sam Fisher in this terrorist ridden world. It had a bit of shooter, a bit of puzzle and a bit of adventure, maybe the reason I got into puzzle games but the sadness in me is deep as I cannot play the recent additions to the franchise as my computer is too rubbish to handle the awesomeness.

1. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Okay, I know people will be hating on me for why have I chosen this game out of the thousands available. But until you have played it on PC and online you can just shut your face. IT'S PURE GAMING BEAST!

First of all the best thing is the levels; because of the games popularity and the lack of having to pay there are plenty of created masterpieces to play, ranging from simple cops and robbers to a whole life simulator with money, cars and homes!
My favourite server was 'trucking' where the player would be required to complete a job as either a convoy of truckers or a lone driver. The user must then work their way through the ranks, eventually ending up being a pilot where the cargo was passengers (yes, I'm talking about the big boy airliner)!

Secondly if you don't feel like playing on the crazy online game modes, the same amount of fun can be had in singleplayer. Mods can be downloaded so easily and installed with one click.
Favourites of mine include the Superman modification and the multiple different cars.

To be honest there's probably some games I have missed because there are so many but I would say these are my TOP 10 ACTION GAMES.
